Savings

Whether you’re saving for that dream vacation, college education, or the security of knowing you have enough to retire comfortably, your Credit Union can help. We offer a variety of great savings programs that provide stable yet competitive rates of return. What’s more, you’ll have added peace of mind knowing that your savings are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government agency.

Share/Savings Accounts

A minimum deposit of $25.00 into your account, plus a $5.00 membership fee, establishes your membership in the credit union and allows you to utilize all our other services. This account earns interest quarterly, based on the average daily balance of your account.

Money Market Accounts

This account provides a high-yield return without sacrificing account flexibility. A minimum balance of $2,000 is required and up to three withdrawals per month can be performed without charge. Interest is earned on the average daily balance of this account, and is paid quarterly.

Auxiliary Savings Accounts

To help our members save for specific items, we’ve personalized our savings program with an Auxiliary Savings Account. Whether you’re saving for a car, boat, home, or a vacation we can help you keep track of your goals to make saving easy. This account earns interest at the same rate as a share account.

Christmas Club Account

A Christmas Club Account is an excellent way to save money for the holidays, and there’s no minimum deposit requirement. You can make your own deposits or have funds transferred each month from another account, held at WDCCU, into your Christmas Club Account to ensure you’ll have funds available for holiday shopping.

Certificates of Deposit

Whether you’re interested in a short-term investment or long-term nest egg, WDCCU offers terrific rates that earn at a higher rate than what you would earn in your regular share/savings account. We offer a variety of terms ranging for 12 months to 5 years, with a minimum deposit of $1,000. Dividends are paid monthly.

IRA Individual Retirement Accounts

Contributions made to an IRA will earn more than a non-IRA investment, because the earnings on this account are tax deferred. With a minimum deposit of $50.00, you can begin setting long-term financial goals and plan for your retirement. We offer regular IRA savings accounts or IRA certificates. Anyone with $2,000 of earned income can contribute up to $2,000 a year to an IRA. Non-working spouses are also eligible to contribute up to $2,000. For tax benefit information, please check with your tax advisor.
